Update a Record From an Automated Journey

Update specific information for a record (Lead, Contact, Employee, Consumer, or Account) automatically in your Journey.

Note: This example uses a Lead-based Journey, and will be updating the Lead record as it automatically moves through the Journey.

1. Navigate to a Journey.

A. If there are no Actions or Rules in the Journey, click on the Actions and Rules button to view the list of Journey Step options.

B. If the Journey already has Actions or Rules, place your cursor in the location you want to add your Send Email Action. Click on the [+] Plus button that appears.

3. Select the Update Lead Action to navigate to the Update Lead form

4. Choose the Field from the Lead record that should be updated

5. Choose the Value that should be updated

6. Click + Add Field if additional Lead fields should be updated. Click Save Action. The Update Lead action will now appear on the Journey Canvas.
